At Ordys - Monday news! 9 July 2012

Last few weeks have been very busy and we added few fantastic features to the system.

* Finally, after days of coding and testing the new admin panel is live - now you can create variants and additions to products on your menu.

* All websites layouts have been updated to show additional menus' details.

* We added a meal deal system to Ordys - your clients can now choose optional items with their orders.

* Menu items timing - you can schedule your products, meal deals and menu categories for a particular day of the week and/or time of the day. Useful feature for Breakfast, Lunch menus or creating special meals for your quiet days/times to generate more business.

* New blog posts about world of mouth marketing, creating and directing clients in Facebook posts and why it is good to have own website even when your business is listed in online catalogue.

* We love to help businesses with their online presence and enjoy creating Facebook cover images. Here are cover & profile photos created for Mircha Masala Takeaway in Paisley. Let us know if you need one.

* New additions to our collection of layouts. Use them as they are or we can customize it for your business:

You can check all system updates in our demo sites - Ordys demo website and Ordys demo admin. Let us know what you think and get in touch if you have ideas for next additions or improvements.

Directing clients - Facebook posts

When you run special offers or have meal deals on your menu, you might want to send your clients straight to those pages from your Facebook posts. This post gives you quick tips how to do it.

1. Write your Facebook message.

2. Go to the particular page on your website ( here it's a special offer page )

3. Double click on the address bar to highlight the URL, move your mouse over it and right-click to choose "copy"

4. Go back to your facebook page and paste the URL below your text.
Now, the page's image with short description appears.

Your post is ready, but... there is something else you can do.

Did you know that as soon as the image uploads you can remove the link if you want?
And even better! You can customise the title and description. Including call to action might get more clicks and as a result more orders. And that's what you want to achieve! So, try to use words that grab attention and encourage your clients to click the link.

1. Move your mouse over the title/description and when it turns yellow click on it to edit. Enter your text there.

2. And there you go. Your post is ready!
